Annual general Meeting

The 2009 AGM was held on Thursday 26 November in the Carnoustie Library. Annie Thomson gave her last report as Chairperson and this detailed the activities of the association over the last year. Our thanks go to Annie for her efforts in that post. An overview of the financial position was then given by Max Fordyce. Nominations were invited for the main office bearers and these were appointed as follows;

Chairperson: Roger Jeffrey
Vice Chairperson/Secretary: Jan Scott
Treasurer: Max Fordyce

The members present were then told of the plans for forthcoming events including the Burns Supper in January and a proposed joint visit in Bath during April 2010. Planning for these and other events are currently being undertaken by the committee demonstrating that the association is still healthy, active and looking forward to the coming year.

Visit to Carnoustie by Primary School of Aulnay

A group of school children from the primary school of Aulnay are enjoying a trip to Scotland and called into to Carnoustie on Thursday 28 May. While they were here they paid a a visit to Burnside and Woodlands Primary Schools where they spent time with their counterparts there. While they were in the area they also visited Crombie Country Park where they enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine before returning to their base in Edinburgh.

Twinning Photographs

Carnoustie Twinning has its own group on the 'Flickr' web site where we share photographs of our visits and events.

Please have a look via this link. Don't worry about the title "photos from emteef" that is the profile of our photo uploader - known to his friends as Max. This will give you access to all our collection. From time to time we will use embedded slideshows to highlight some of these without having to leave the site. Enjoy.
